Between 1840 and 1880 a Thomas Cook is living in Saxham Street, Stowupland. He was born around 1810 and married Susan or Susannah born in 1821. In the middle of the 19th century he was living next door to Henry, Charlotte and James Soar. This may have been on Cooper’sfarm.

From Suffolk Chronicle, 17th January 1852. Auction of Freehold properties in Saxham Street. Lot 2 is a freehold tenement divided into 2 dwellings in Saxham Street, occupied by Thomas Cook and Thomas Soar. The cottage of Thomas Cook and Henry Soars was advertised again in the November edition of the 1852 Suffolk Chronicle. This time without a reserve.
The proprietor of lot 1 is named as Thomas Bendall so there maybe a link to Cooper’s Farm.
In 1854, 12th August this advert appeared in the Suffolk Chronicle. Lot 2 is the messuage of Thomas Cook and Henry Soar but as part of the Freehold property is the messuage of George Cutting and a newly erected brick and slated residence. It is a house of 4 bedrooms standing in 18 rods of garden. At present it is not known which house this refers to.
These 3 lots are described as being near Stowupland Hall and land of the late Thomas Cooper.
