John Robert (Jack) Flack, married Lily Makens and they celebrated their Golden wedding Anniversary in 1958.

Jack fought in and survived WW1, but he nearly didnt. He had served with the Gloucesters and was severly wounded in Ypres, he was reported missing presumed killed and lay for 36 hours before being found. He returned home with a severly crippled Left leg and being unable to resume his former occupation as a butcher he took over as publican of the Crown Inn.
