Lucky was born Alfred Burrows, the youngest of 11 children. At the end of the 19th century he spent several years at Town Farm, Stowupland. Before his death in 1969 he had been compiling a story of his life ‘Lucky was the Name’ . this is kust a short extract as printed in a local paper in 1975.
