20th May 1456, will of William Mannyng of Stowmarket.  After payments of 6s 8d for his burial in the church of ‘Blessed Peter of Stowe and a further 6s 8d to the ‘reparation of the same church’ he left the residue of his estate to his wife Margaret including lands & tenements on Stowmarket, Thorneys & Chylton Hamlet. {SLHG/ ECA/wills/Peter Northeast}
