E.M. Francis was a pupil teacher at Stowupland Elementary school between 1893 -1902 and 1902.
Harry Robert Francis, Private 7508 1st Battalion Suffolk Regiment. b. Stowmarket, date unknown – d. 24th April 1915. He was killed at Ypres and is commemorated on panel 21 of the Menin Gate.
