9th Dec 1708: It is certified by John Elsegood of Bury St Edmunds, cooper, that the dwelling house of James Harrold, husbandman, situate in Stowupland is set apart, etc” (p6)

30th Nov 1821: It was certified by Henry Fisher of Stowmarket that a dwelling house & out-buildings in Stowupand are set apart etc”(p46)

In 1885 according Whites Directory it was occupied by Mrs Rebecca Lock
