In 2018 the parish council again were seeking the views of its residents. – ‘Stowupland Neighbourhood Plan is being consulted on now. it contains plans and policies that will shape the village and how it develops between now and 2031.’

According to a report in Telstar, 25 residents went to the display put on by the Parish Council to learn more about their plans.{ Telstar 311, July 2018}

In earlier decades various descriptions of the village had been printed in local newspapers.

A 1936 description of housing in the village

“A charming little village”

In 1936 a journalist described the village as a ‘queer mixture …a strange combination of old and new – houses erected almost yesterday in the style one sees in every part of the country …rubbing shoulders, as it were, with the cottages which came into existence in a rather more picturesque age.’ {Suffolk Chronicle: Friday, 10 July 1936}
