1882, 16th September report in the Bury Free Press on a school treat organised for the children of the Catholic School


In 1906 The Stowmarekt Weekly Post reported that a John Stannard form Nury Street was fined 17s for neglecting to send his 2 chdren to school. The Attendance officer was Mr H.G. Pezz’. { Stowmarekt Weekly Post : 1 st November 1906}.
In 1907 a Miss Mable Smith from the East Suffolk Education Committee gave a course of dairy lessons at the Catholic Middle School. {Suffolk and eEsex Free Press: 30th October 1907}.


In 1910 when the Rev P.L. Benstead was leaving Stowmarket an auction was adervertised to sell some antique and modern furniture. { EADT: 10th November 1910}.

1886 the grounds of Stickland were the scene for a spectacle provided by ladies and children from the convent. In attendance was Father Warnoll. { Bury Free Press: 3rd July 1886.}
In 1915 the Evening Star carried a report that 200 people took part in a whist drive to raise funds for the Red Cross.
Soldiers had been billeted at the Catholic school so the event had to be held at the ‘new Council Schools’.
