In September 1963 a local paper carried this report from Stowupland Parish Council. Amongst other business it was reported that the first issue of Telstar had been a success and ‘for the time being‘ would continue to be distributed ‘without charge.‘

For the next 40 years it was printed quarterly as an A4 newsletter. In 2004 it became a monthly A5 glossy booklet as we recognise it today.
