In the late 1950s there were plans to have tennis courts on an open space at the corner of what is now the B115 and A1120

Tennis courts were built to the side of the village hall with a raised grass bank for viewing.

In 1978 there was a planning application made for the erection of a pavilion to be shared by the Bowls Club and the Tennis Club

In 1996 the suggestion was made that a committee was formed of representatives from SSSC, the cricket club and the two football clubs (Stow Falcons Youth FC and Stowupland Football Club) to ‘turn the Tennis courts into an all weather playing surface.’

By 1998 the area that had been used as tennis courts had been repurposed as over flow car parking.
