The Croft

Malthouse Cottages were located where Croft Farm is shown, though where the Maltings was we don’t know

Not to be confused with Croft Farm.

In the 20th century for a time it was home  to Rev Fountain Page

In 1892 Mrs Pyman was named as living here.

In the 1950s General Sir Ivo Vesey was living at The Croft. In 1952 the Bury Free Press carried a report titled Stowupland Bridegroom in London when the General’s son Major Christopher Thomas Vesey of the Royal Artillery married Miss Helen Ebsworth, daughter of Brigadier W.A.Ebsworth from Camberley. {Bury Free Press: Friday, 5 December 1952}
