In 1821 James Diaper was imprisoned for three months for stealing a quantity of clover stover from William Turner of Stowupland. 

In 1872 Ephraim Turner married Emma Anne, they had a daughter Esther who married Charles Diaper (b. 1847 – d. 1892).

Ephraim worked as an agricultural labourer his daughter  Esther was born in 1857 in Old Newton and died in Sept 1925 aged 68.

Charles Diaper and Esther (nee Turner) had several children, one was Albert Roland Diaper

In the 1840s and 50s the Rev George Turner is named as the owner of The Firs or Fir Tree Farm in Saxham Street.
