Robert Jacob Esq (d.1825): April 1825 Death of Robert Jacob Esq of Much hadham, Herts, son of the late John Jacob Esq formerly of Stowupland

Jane Jacobs (d.1802): 4th Dec 1802 ” died here in the 41st year, Miss jane Jacobs youngest daughter of Mr Jacobs, late of Stowupland.

P.Jacobs was a watch repairer living on Mill Street (date unknown at present)

In 1939 Percival and Hilda Jacob were living in a cottage on the corner of Rendall Lane and Gipping Road (Back Lane). Image copied from an original sketch in the possession of family members.

In the will (1769) of John Jacob , Gent (late of Eye),  mention is made of his hop-poles worth £300.00. He was a brewer who farmed at Dagworth and Old Newton. (Information from East Anglian Miscellany No 13116, 1957, relating to a ledger stone in the nave of Creeting St Mary’s church).

1693 Robert Jacobs named as Lord of Thorney Manor.
