The featured image remembers one of our older thatched properties that was demolished in the 20th century. We still have many homes that can trace their origins back to the 14th or even the 13th century though many hide their histories behind a more modern exterior. The above image is of Stowupland's pump house that stood on the village green for several decades. After being decommissioned by East Anglian water it continued to serve the village as a changing room for Stowupland Football teams, more than that we don't have any details in our archives.
