Stowupland Cottagers' Show
The first Stowupland produce show was held in August, 1886 at the fairly recently opened Board School.
It soon moved along the road to be held in the grounds of Stowupland Hall but for several years it continued to be called Stowupland Cottagers Show.
Subsequently the name Cottagers was replaced with Stowupland Flower Show and Fete, but continued to be held in the park of Stowupland Hall until 1965 when it moved to Stowupland Village Hall.

The following year, the show was held in the grounds of Stowupland Hall. The president of the show was the Rev Seton, there was a men’s committee and a ladies committee, read more about the 1887 Cottagers_Show
In 1893 a concert was put on in the School to raise funds to support the Cottagers Show.

Ceorge Shallard was the vicar of Stowupland, but he had a long association with organisations around Stowupland.
