This photo shows our village post office as it was at the end of the 20th century, before it was moved to Allard’s Farm Shop. Unfortunately we no longer have a proper post office, relying on a mobile post office van that parks up once a week for a few hours in the village hall car park.

This month we had a query about the history of Barn Cottages. We would love to know about the stories hidden within this barn conversion from the 19th century. I don’t suppose Mr Freeman had to seek planning permission before he converted an agricultural building into homes for his workers.
